Why subscribe?

Substack is now my primary creative outlet. Subscribe to receive weekly essays, stories, musings, the rare poem, and occasional photographs or paintings. Much of what I publish here is likely to find its way, in some version, in a book or books I will publish later. As a subscriber, you see the work first (and not in rough draft form, though I reserve the right to make future edits).

The work I post here will be intentionally brief, mostly bite-sized bits that should require little time to read or view and yet still entertain you. Just like any dessert, some portions will be larger than others.
